WE'RE THE KIDS THAT FEEL LIKE DEAD ENDS,
AND I WANT TO BE KNOWN FOR MY HITS

” Her eyes watched as the older woman as she punched in her order, calling it out to another co-worker to make. Aubreen quickly mentioned that the order was for here. Why not just take a seat? She wasn’t going anywhere today anyway; she really didn’t have any plans at all. Paying the cashier, and taking her cupcake, she moved over to another counter to grab her tea.- - - AUBREEN was so entirely grateful for today’s weather. The sun shining down oh so brightly, almost causing her to get a little too warm under her light jacket. She didn’t mind the rain. But after a while, the gloomy weather just put such a drag on you. Getting out of bed, even waking up seemed like a huge chore to the young woman. She took in a deep breath of fresh air. Today, she decided, was going to be a good day. None of this monkeying around and just sitting and watching movies that she had seen one hundred times over, she really needed to get some things done. For one, she needed some food in her belly. With spring being around, she really didn’t take much food from the institution. She had a small job and was able to pay for things every now and then. However, Aubreen would spend most if not all of her free time outside when the weather was nice. If she wasn’t doing either of those, Bree was probably workbrowsing around the flower shop or taking a small trip to her parents place. She'd never knock on the door though. But, that also meant she wasn’t really going to be in her dorm room much either. Lately she had thrown her daily routine off a little, just so that she could make trips outside to enjoy the sun. Although the young woman may not have looked like much of an average outdoors enthusiast, she did enjoy it. She loved playing sports, wandering around in the wild, biking, swimming and surfing. There wasn’t anything better than enjoying Mother Nature at her best... aside from may be going to the Mall or the movies.
- - - HER feet tapped softly against the sidewalk as she took her little late morning stroll. Usually, she would just make some herbal tea and cozy up in her bed (so long as she wasn’t working). However, like stated earlier, the warm weather drew her out of her den. In all honesty, the young woman was completely content with her life. She didn’t have too many friends, and she didn’t really mind it. Friends were obviously a nice thing to have, but she really didn’t feel like she needed them much anymore. Friends caused her more problems than not as she thought about the past. There were too many different opinions and she couldn’t please everyone. Bree just preferred to please herself. It was a rather hard concept for her to learn. Bree had always placed everyone else before herself so she forgot what it was like to focus on getting yourself to be that healthy, happy, and wholesome person. Yes, she definitely was glad that her amount of friends had decreased. Although some people may have thought it made her more of a shut in or something, but to her, it was a whole lot better than battling catty attitudes about dresses, boys, mothers, or tests. She felt rather disconnected from her peers in that way. Maybe she just assumed and stereotyped her peers too much and that she really was distancing herself from everyone else, she wasn’t sure whether it was healthy or not. Was it really such a crime for her to want to spend more time sitting around by herself doing yoga or writting in a journal? Normally, Bree wouldn’t have gone into Starbucks, not because she didn’t like it there or anything, she just never really found the want. However, she knew that they carried her most favourite kind of cupcake in the world, and she was sure she could make do with whatever tea they carried.
- - - SHE came to a stop, taking in one last deep breath before entering the cafe. It looked really homey and inviting. Everyone was sitting, typing furiously on their keyboards, reading a book, or heaven forbid! There was even some human to human conversation happening. With the technological age about them, it was definitely a rare sight to see indeed. Taking a few steps passed the doorway and toward the cashier. Her eyes ventured over the menu, her fingers gently tapping against her lips as she tried to decide. The cupcake was going to be an obvious choice as she looked over to the glass display which housed a multitude of pastry and baked goodies. She flashed a quick smile at the cashier behind the counter before placing her order. “Hello, may I just have a peppermint tea and one of those red velvet cupcakes?
- - - THE cup was hot in her hands, adding a little bit of sugar into the ceramic mug before finding a seat out on the patio. People watching was another one of her favourite activities. She found the human race to be a very interesting group of people. Lifting the warm mug to her lips, she gently blew on it before taking a gentle sip to prevent her from burning her tongue on the hot liquid. It was awfully good tasting. Setting her cup down, she moved her hands to carefully peel away the paper cup away from her cupcake. She couldn’t wait to eat it. If she didn’t know better, she could have sworn that there was drool leaking from her light rose pink lips. The icing was looking just delicious. A soft sigh left her lips. Her legs carefully crossed underneath her chair. What she wouldn’t give for some company now since feeling jealous after spotting the pair across the room from here having quite a good time talking and chatting. Her eyes just watched the other people as they passed by her on the sidewalk. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
