It was pretty quiet way out here in the garden with all the flowers, trees and butterflies flitting around. It surprised Ronan that she couldn't hear any birds but that could just be that she wasn't listening for them. See, Ronan has this little problem where she lets her mind wander off into oblivion and ignores the world around her because she learned to do that at a young age. When her dad would go on a rampage about being seen and not heard or her mother would rant on about being a debutante, Ronan would tune them out. She hated the world she had lived in before so she learned to create her own world of wonders in her mind so she could 'escape', if you may.
That's exactly what she was doing at the moment as she slowly wondered her way through the large garden that was on the grounds of St.Johns. Her fingers caught the long flowers as she trailed them through the leaves and flowers, not wanting to break them but merely wanting to feel them. Taking in a deep, slow breath she turned her sharp green eyes to the sound of a bird that had caught her attention, the bright red feathers of a cardinal catching her eye. Ronan simply watched it bathe itself in the pretty fountain that stood proudly in the middle of the garden. Smiling gently she allowed her mind to wander once more about what it would feel like to fly, to be free of troubles outside of finding food and getting a bath wherever water was available.
The thought of bathing in a puddle made the petite girl giggle a bit, hands wrapping her dark gray sweater around her tightly as the cool wind kicked up. It was supposed to rain all day today, severe thunderstorms working their way in but Ronan didn't really care. She'd simply take shelter under the big weeping willow tree that never seemed to have a wet spot underneath it no matter how heavy the rain was. The sad, droopy leaves of the tree were perfect for protecting the ground from the rain which made it a perfect spot to sit and relax without worrying about getting wet or nasty. She could see the tree a good hundred yards or so in front of her and the sounds of rumbling thunder were starting to get louder.
Ronan picked her pace up to a light jog to the tree, having to hold her black mini skirt down so if anyone was around they didn't get a little peak at her purple, pink and red heart covered undies. Finally making it under the tree she sat at the base of the trunk, leaning back against the rough bark with a sigh. Her black hair fell softly at her shoulders as she sat there, short legs stretched out in front of her so she was comfortable. She wore a pair of black boots instead of sneakers or flats...or heels finding her boots to be the most comfortable. They didn't help her height issues though, if anything they made her seem all the more tinier but she liked them too much to not wear them.
Looking up when the wind picked up, blowing the leaves of the tree a bit so it sounded like a million people whispering to each other the teenager curled up a bit more under the tree. It had already started to rain and she wasn't going to get wet so Ronan had to sit this storm out under the big willow tree. Stupid girl had forgotten her iPod too so she didn't even have her music either. Sighing, Ronan sat back against the tree some more and vaguely hoped someone would come along and join her under the tree.
